Spice racks come in many varieties and styles. They can be in the cabinet, on the wall, in a drawer, or on the countertop. Spice racks can be rotating like a lazy susan or stacked like stair steps so you can see what is on the backside of the rack. Spice racks can be one storage shelf or several. They can be wooden, metal, or plastic. All kinds of spice racks can be found in stores or on the internet.

Space savers and kitchen organizers can be important in any kitchen. It is important for the spice storage to be handy for the busy cook.  With spice cabinets, it can be difficult to find and reach the spice container you need while cooking. Countertop space is important work area, so spice storage there does not help with the kitchen organization. Drawer space is usually limited to essential kitchen gadgets and utensils so that is not a good spice storage idea. Hanging on the wall takes up some space too and requires screws and tools to install. A wall mounted spice rack might not be a good idea if you are renting the home or apartment.
