Storage Shelf

A great gift idea for any person is a storage shelf. A storage shelf can be used for many different things and in many different places. It can be many different sizes in length, width, and number of shelves depending upon what is intended to be kept there. A neatly placed shelf can make the difference between organization and clutter. It can keep what is needed nearby but out of the way.

Generally a wooden storage shelf is constructed with one or more boards horizontal for the keeping of things on and one or more horizontal strips of wood with the edges up and down attached above or below the bigger board. Then two end caps or support brackets are attached to keep the shelf from tipping away from the place it is hung up.

Once the shelf is constructed it is attached to where it is needed. It could be applied to a wall, inside a cabinet, pantry, or on the surface of an appliance. One storage shelf idea that is a great gift idea is the MagnaRack® brand Magnetic Storage Shelf. This little shelf is an easy way to organize kitchen, shop, garage, or office items. It can be applied or removed instantly without tools because it uses super strong magnets.

In places where no steel or iron surfaces are available the MagnaRack® product can be applied using countersunk screws and steel washers for the magnets to stick to. This way the magnetic storage shelf can be quickly removed and replaced for cleaning and refilling. The nice thing about a magnetic storage shelf is that it uses space that is available and is not being used for something else. A normal storage shelf must be secured to a wall or cabinet where little space is available and it may not be so easy to remove and replace.
